A BIT MORE ABOUT MY PRACTICE & HOW I CAN HELP
I’m an experienced BACP registered therapist providing a supportive, non-judgmental space for your journey of self-discovery and healing.
Using an integrative approach, I draw from various therapeutic modalities to meet your unique needs. Whether you are facing specific challenges or simply seeking a space to explore your thoughts and feelings, I offer a professional environment for meaningful and effective therapeutic work.
I’m Sarah Ryan, a fully qualified BACP-registered psychotherapist with over 10 years of experience helping individuals explore, heal, and move forward into fulfilling, authentic lives.
You may be exploring therapy for a variety of reasons - perhaps you’re facing uncertainty about your next steps in life or navigating a challenging experience. Therapy offers a space to reflect, gain clarity, and work toward meaningful change. Whether you’re dealing with something specific or simply looking to understand yourself better, I provide a supportive, professional environment tailored to your needs.
Over the years, I’ve worked with a diverse range of clients, from teenagers navigating academic pressures to individuals in their 80s reflecting on life transitions. My practice supports people through challenges such as:
• Grief, including the profound loss of a child
• Trauma, including experiences of sexual assault, child abuse, and narcissistic relationships
• Complex PTSD and cumulative trauma
• Anxiety and eating disorders
• Mental health diagnoses, such as bipolar disorder
• Attachment difficulties and relational challenges
• Neurodiversity, including ADHD and autism diagnoses
• Career uncertainty or struggles with academic pressures, including A-levels
• Divorce and navigating significant life changes.
I’ve also supported highly sensitive individuals and those who may not know why they’re struggling, walking alongside them to uncover and address the root causes of their challenges.
As a trauma-informed therapist with integrative training, I draw on a range of approaches to meet your needs. This includes psychodynamic principles, inner child healing, and somatic awareness, combined with insights from neuroscience and consciousness studies. My approach is collaborative and deeply client-centred, ensuring that we work together to create a process that feels right for you. I draw from various therapeutic modalities, including cognitive-behavioural therapy, mindfulness-based practices, person-centred, transpersonal and psychodynamic principles. By combining these techniques, I strive to create a personalised roadmap that addresses the interconnected aspects of your mental, emotional, and physical well-being.
As a trauma-informed therapist, I understand the profound impact that adverse experiences can have on an individual's nervous system and life. With empathy and expertise, I aim to provide a supportive environment where you can process and heal from past traumas, ultimately reclaiming your sense of empowerment and resilience.
As an experienced therapist, one area I'm particularly passionate about exploring is how our attachment styles developed in childhood can influence various aspects of our adult lives. Whether it's relationship patterns, addictive tendencies, or the way we show up in the world, our early attachment experiences leave an indelible mark.
Through our work together, I can help you identify your predominant attachment style and understand how it may be contributing to challenges or roadblocks you're facing. With this awareness, we can then explore ways to develop more secure relating patterns that allow you to show up as your authentic self in all areas of your life.
My goal is to guide you in breaking through long-standing patterns that may be holding you back from living a truly fulfilling and authentic life. Together, we'll work on replacing unhealthy coping mechanisms with more positive strategies that align with your core values and desires. This journey of self-discovery can be transformative, empowering you to cultivate deeper connections, achieve greater emotional freedom, and embrace your truest self.

As a neurodiversity-affirming therapist, I strive to create an inclusive and accommodating environment for neurodivergent clients.
An integral part of my therapeutic approach involves inner child healing work. I believe that many of our core wounds and limiting beliefs stem from unresolved experiences in childhood. By compassionately exploring and reparenting our inner child selves, we can begin to heal deep-rooted patterns and reclaim our innate sense of worthiness. This powerful process can be profoundly transformative, helping you cultivate self-love, set healthy boundaries, and step into your full authentic power.
